Watch Instructions
Maintaining Your Skagen Watch
- Ensure that the crown is returned to the normal operating position before the
watch comes in contact with water.
- Do not take your watch into a Hot Tub or Sauna.
- Under normal conditions, the seals in your Skagen watch will deteriorate and
may need to be replaced every 2-3 years.
- Have your Skagen watch serviced by an official service center.
- An automatic watch has all of the advantages of a mechanical watch offering durability plus you do not need to manually wind the timepiece frequently. If you wear the watch every day, it will maintain its power reserve. One drawback to be aware of with an automatic movement is that they can gain or lose a few minutes per month; so you should check these watches once or twice a month and adjust the time.

Watch Band Standards |
Skagen offers several types of watch bands to accommodate most customer preferences, which includes leather straps, mesh bands, and metal bands/links. The watch band is a very important feature of a watch it not only reflects the design of the watch, it most importantly reflects the commitment to quality of the watch company. Of all the features a watch can offer, none of them will matter if your watch does not fit properly, is uncomfortable to wear, or words of all falls off and is lost.
As always, Skagen is educated on this topic and adheres to the highest of standards in regards to the tolerances of our band fits and attachments. Below is an illustration which explains the measurement used for our minimum length specifications; you will note the measurements are taken from the inner diameter of a buckled watch, and the specifications vary by strap-type. |
